The origin of the SHRINKFAST success story: our heat tool type 975.
The long-proven SHRINKFAST heat tool type 975 is characterized in particular by its robust and durable construction. It is therefore ideally suited for outdoor use and can cope with pretty much any weather and harsh environment.
The internal combustion system produces a wide jet of hot air at high velocity in our then patented venturi tube. This offers the advantage of large heating power with low gas consumption.
The unit is equipped with gas hose, pressure reducer and swivel coupling and is supplied in a plastic case – it arrives ready for connection and use.
The SHRINKFAST type 975 is operated with propane gas. It can be converted to natural gas operation if required.

Frequently Asked Questions
Through our many years of experience, we know the answers to the most common questions of our valued customers
a) The heat tool type 975 is somewhat more robust and therefore more suitable when working a lot outdoors or in rough environments (e.g. construction sites, quarries, brickworks, etc.). The hand shrink unit type 998, on the other hand, is handier and more powerful, so that shrinking can be carried out more quickly.
b) Both heat tools are suitable for working indoors and outdoors.
Our heat tools come ready for connection (incl. gas hose, pressure reducer and swivel coupling) in a plastic case. So you only need to connect the device to a propane gas bottle and you’re ready to go.
Our gas hose sets are manufactured and shipped specifically for the use with SHRINKFAST heat tools. If your gas hose and pressure reducer meet the general requirements, then yes. The most important thing here is that the operating pressure must be 1.5 bar and that the gas hose is designed for this. We will be happy to advise you if you have any questions.
SHRINKFAST heat tools are uncomplicated and safe to use. All relevant info regarding the use can be found in our operating instructions in our download area.
This is a common problem for customers using heat tools for the first time. The trigger guard must first be lightly actuated for a short time so that gas can flow. Ignition can only occur when gas is flowing. If the trigger is pulled too quickly, the gas cannot flow to the spark plug and a misfire occurs. However, you quickly develop the right „sensitivity“ for this.
Yes and No. The last 35 years have shown that our heat tools are very durable and, if used carefully, can still function faultlessly after more than 10 years without maintenance. According to the UVV regulation (DGUV regulation 79), heat tools must be professionally inspected every two years. More about this under FAQ Service.
